We are working on a couple of old farmall model M tractors and trying to figure out exactly what years they are. One of these has an addition to the end of the serial number and I'm not exactly sure what its for.

FBK-17238 (1948)
FBK-80217(X6) Without the X6 i would say it's a 1944.

Could someone please tell me what the X6 stands for?

Thanks, Kris

Hey Chris, according to my info it is a 44 and the X6 stands for low-speed gears. Hope this helps. Chuck

Thanks for the fast responses! To bad that X6 is full of Honey Bee's. Any chance you know where I could find repair manuals for Model H and Model M?

Thanks again! Kris

Binder books has very good reprints, I T has repair manuals but not as detailed as the reprints, Jensales also has reprints. Good luck
