Laptop Update

A while back I sought advice on which Laptop to purchase to upgrade from the 7 yr old HP my daughter used to own soooooooooooooo I shopped quite a bit and compared prices (Ima Conservative Frugal tight wad fuddy duddy) and ended up buying at Staples BECAUSE THEY GAVE ME $100 FOR THAT OLDDDDDDDDDD LAPTOP TRADE IN DEAL. NO place else had that option

Now the big decision is do we wait until Christmas (First wife and my gift for each other) to use it or open it nowwwwwww lol

PS It has Intels latest chip series the i3 2.4 MHZ which is I believe later technology then the AMD option in the same computer yet not as fast as their 15 or 17

Hey John T - I took advantage of the same deal at Staples - I purchased the same HP laptop as you(!)

It works GREAT. I very much like the larger display (older eyes you know...)

Only downside is I could not get the new laptop to connect to my 6 year old wireless "g" network. Had to shuck out another $60 for Linksys E1000 "n" router.

Suggestion: Don't wait for Christmas - unpack your new laptop and use it now. Guarantee you and the lovely "Mrs T" will not be disappointed!

Open it now so you can use it for viewing christmas pics. Or at least that can be your excuse. Jim

Sounds like you better use it now before the warranty runs out. I had a vcr/dvd recorder that died in 91 days. full replacement warranty ran out after 90 days. It hit the bottom of the dumpster after that.
