Need to repower

I have a 1816 [not a c or b] case skid loader that I need to repower but am at a loss as to what to repower with. It now has a Tech. 16hp hoiz.shaft engine in it. Anyone done this and what power unit was used? Thanks

I have a 310 Mustang . It had a kohler 14 hp in it . I put an Onan P218 twin cyl out of a JD Garden tractor in it . good fit . Lot of honda and Vanguard repower kits out there .

I'd go with a Briggs Vanguard or a Kohler Cammand Twin if they will fit. I'd pick Kohler over Briggs but they are both good engine's.

Whatever you use, use a 2 cylinder. I have put in 20hp honda motors, that makes a new machine out of it
