Here are some pics of me mixing some silage for the dairy cows this arvo. The mix consistes of ground corn and barley grain, Conola meal, corn, forage sorghum and lablab silage usualy with a load of green choped oats at the moment but it was a bit wet to chop today so they got a round bale of oats instead. We use the old fordson and new holandchoper to chop the oats then dump it infront of the silage face and pick it up with the loader. I do one mix a day and that does morning and night feeding for them and sum happy cows that siting around waiting to come to the dairy. Hope to get planting corn and forage sorghum this coming week so may get sum more pics then.
