cub sightings

saw these two cubs for sale on the way home today . There was and phone number and I left a message to see how much, but did not get an answer yet. I would really like to get one with cultivators on it someday, hope my wife does not see this ,Ihavent broke the news to her yet. She knows I am insane an a cub would mean a bigger garden.
The one looked pretty good to me except for a rusted rim,

The one on the right looks like a good one good from the pictures Larry. Hope the fella calls you back. If you're patient, you should be able to find one for pretty close to $1000. They are popular tractors, but there wer GOBBS of em built.

I had my cub for almost 20 years before I got cultivators for it. Buy the tractor, then hunt around for the "accessories"

'Better buy both of them. You can drive one and tow the other one behind......just in case you need parts. From the "rattle can" paint job on the front wheels, it's probable that you'll be needing parts.
Interesting footnote, your title "cub sightings", had me expecting black bear cubs.
 
Careful, could be a Sherwin-Williams overhaul. And it lools like Armor-all on the tires to make 'em pretty--bet he wants too much.
I hope I am totally wrong, and you get a good deal.

Well I don't know, its rough lookin at the world through these eyeballs. :lol:
And all the meds don't help either... :?
I have to admit, tho, looks like overspray on the tires :roll:
I dunno, my eyes again--I really did lose my eyeglasses, seriously.
I need to get down and get another pair.
 

On the right hand side of the tractor examine where the engine mounts to the front casting that forms the lower radiator tank (near the mag or distributor), on many Cubs the engine casting will be cracked in this area.
