Some days things just happen. And yesterday was one of those days. I rolled some hay for a friend because his baler tore up. Well I just let him give me some hay so he wouldnt be out any money. Well I went back yesterday morning to pickup my hay. He said I could just use his tractor to load it so I would have to bring mine back up there. Well I went to load and crossed the creek, got a roll and headed back across the creek. Well I got over on the edge and got down in a ditch. The creek gravel was soft and it just puled me in. So I had to back out and straignten up. Well i crossed and headed toward the truck and noticed one of the front tires was low. Well I got the trailer loaded and came back for another load. We I returned I noticed now that the front and back tires on one side were almost flat. Instantly knew that I had ran over something. Very bad feeling, considering this is a nice 4x4 New Holland TL90A. Turned out I had run over some very small wood stobs down by the creek. Lukily the tires were tubless and I was able to plug them. No a great experince at all. Makes me not want to use others peoples tractors now.

I know how you feel, I borrowed a JD 8420 and 7 yrd Eversman scraper. On the third trip the right hand cylinder blew the end out. He said he had just repaired both cylinders and had put new hoses on it hadn't used it since. Well the wheels started to turn in my small mind. this scraper came out in the 60's tractors then just had 1600 to 2000 psi. Checked tractor pegged 3000 psi gauge. at 1/2 flow. Called Bailey's found a knowledgeable person sent me a double pressure control valve. Found out it just took 1600 psi to dump the pan. My friend was so glad it was fixed he wouldn't let us fill the tractor with diesel, said he was always bending or breaking something on the scraper. The cylinders were way to big for 3000 psi. and not strong enough. Bottom line think about using newer tractors on old implements. Vic

Yea thats me, I always hate tearing someone elses stuff up. He said he would pay me for the trouble and hated that it happened to me. So atleast he was understanding but I still didnt let him pay me. You also got a good point on older equipment. I hadnt thought about that
