Need to know some idea of the value if a CaseIH 7500 4f semi mount varied width.Looking for a dollars and cents answer, not a opinion about plowing in general. Also anyone who has had experience with the 7500 plow , will it bury corn stalks right behind the combine or will it plug up ?

I guess it would have to be. But not what I had intended to say. Plowing a field after the corn has been harvested without chopping stalks with a flail chopper , or dragging a set of disc-choppers over the stalks.

Don"t know that plow but if it is a high clearance plow than 100 bu corn probly, 200 bushel corn maybe, 300 bu corn probly not. Doubt you"ll get 100 percent buried regardless. My2 cents

$1500 to $2000. Usually if you don't deal with the stalks in the fall you have to deal with them in the spring and it is much easier in fall then spring.

I think I agree on the $1,500 to $2,000, and maybe even higher. The more modern moldboard plows that are big enough for todays big tractors are still somewhat in demand.

Take the coulters off and u ll have no problem ploughing corn stalks. My 720 with the coulters off ploughs them perfectly. Trash boards also will make a big difference one your coverage.
