An Early Steam Engine!

There is Grandpa Murray Hebblethwaite, aka "Good Olde Murray" with Gene Hart at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

Later in the day they toured Greenfield Village with Edison's New Jersey Laboratory including soil, then there was the Wright Brother's Bicycle Shop from Dayton.

Years later (1978) Good Olde Murray toured the Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Thanks! I enjoy the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village more than the Smithsonian. Relates more to the common man in my opinion.

Someday I must go back to see the Buckminster Fuller Dymaxion House that was moved there from Wichita, KS.

Hopefully the next time I go I'll have my grandsons in tow.

I truly appreciate your comments, I am sure Murray does as well.

Murray also told me most types of Early Travel were housed in the Henry Ford Museum, from Stage Coaches, the Largest Steam Locomotive used for pulling coal up from Pennsylvania through the mountains along with many vintage vehicles.

Just Murray

I have a yearly membership at the Henry Ford, one of the best museums around. I too love the big Avery undermount steamer. It"s still sitting today in the same location that your photo was taken.
