Been kinda gimped up awhile.
Gotta shop, not the greatest, but a fair amount of equipment and tools for workin on stuff.
Got to know the neighbors, a mile away, since I been here.
And now they can use my shop whenever they want.
Turned into folks like family, or just good neighbors.
Anyway, they got their share of projects to work on in my shop.
I can't use it much, glad they can.
So...they spent the majority of the weekend workin' on cr*p I needed done, though they have a time line on their own work to do.
Always figgered how to do stuff on my own, til I got in this shape.
These guys just don't know how much I can't thank them.
Typin now almost brings me to tears, and probably would if I hadn't been cried out years ago from some major cr*p I just can't get into here.
A handshake and what are neighbors for is about all we get out of each other, no matter who's helped who more--if we was keepin score, and to be honest, I have no clue who's ahead.
D*mn good people. Few and far between. Can't thank'em enough

Just today my neighbor came and cut up all the dead down wood in my grove. He burns it in his log house. I can't use it and am glad to have it cleaned up. He piles the brush and really cleans up after himself. In return he has a sawmill and cuts some lumber for me from time to time. His family and mine have been neighbors for 50 years now. Just plane old good people.

man,i'll sure trade ya...neighbors to the east and north good as gold...south is tolerable...west is gonna get me life or gas chamber yet.

BCnT:

OT--Just don't look or listen West.
It ain't worth it...just sit back and laugh.
But if you decide to go that route, against my thoughts,
send me an email,
and I'll add some people to your list while you're at it.

It is great to have good neighbors, I have neighbors in PA they are PA Dutch. They are really great neighbors I have known them for around 43 years. Same thing, any time you need help they are willing to help and I like to help them too It is a great relationship.

We are blessed with really good neighbors. They are there anytime we need help and keep an eye out on the place when we're not there.

Good neighbors become friends and don't keep score.

My best friends and neighbors have now moved out of state which leaves a big hole when thinking about them.

We always traded work back and forth. To a point I was his unpaid handyman. In return he met my 2 a.m. train once to convey me home, has mowed my lawn from time to time, and clean snow off of my sidewalk--and I've done the same when I'm not busy and he is.

When they moved--Iowas gain, Kansas' loss.

I was layed up with a broken hip,I can get around but have to use a cane now,3 of my neighbors cut my winters wood and have done a lot of jobs around here I couldnt. And all my neigbors are ready to do anything else I ask, Like what was said on here,Money cant buy nor put a price on good neighbors,I hope you heal and can get back to normal

My neighbor and I traded stuff back and forth, he always fixed anything that broke (even if it was just wore out),etc., but this beat all.

We were going to Disneyland, and he was over to get lined out on the chores he was doing while we were gone. He mentioned that our old dog really needed to be put down- I agreed, but just had not had time to do it before leaving. He said "Why don't I just take care of that while you're gone? I'll bury her over by that tree, and will tell the kids she was old and died while you folks were gone. No need to say how."

They don't come much better than that. RIP, Charlie.
