No more begging. Got my smaller mower and have been looking for my own tedder and rake. Only thing I could find was 300 mile+RT and pricey.
Mentioned that I was looking to a guy that I bought some wheels/tires off of in the neighboring town. He got back with me yesterday and gave me a price on a tedder he has and has located a rake for me in the same town.
Next week I pick up a 3PH Deutz/Fahr KH40 tedder and a Claas rake forless than 500 bucks and 5 miles from home. If I miss a weather window now, it'll be noones fault but mine and I can use/maintain my own equipment without fixing someone elses stuff and waiting til bubba is finished before I can start.

Just thought I'd share that.

(quoted from post at 18:40:37 10/28/10) no more insulting your tractor looking at replacements! lol

Unless one comes along for the right price and wife thinks it's pretty

After searching/running all over the country to get a baler and mower that it will handle and fighting with the idea of driving all over for a tedder and rake before finding these locally, it makes no sense to replace it
Tomorrow is another day though....

Be gentle with that Fahr tedder or it will make your wallet cry. I've
got two broken ones that never make it a season when they are
working.

What happens with them? About the most common ones here and I never see anyone with problems. Parts availability/price good/decent but what commonly goes wrong?

We have a Deutz-Fahr tedder and I believe its a KH 40. We spent over $500 in repairs on it last year and it made two rounds on the hayfield before it got out of time and the tines on the baskets started banging each other. We just parked the thing.
