pto flat belt pulley

Can anyone tell me where I might could find a pto flat belt pulley to slide over the pto shaft to be able to run flat belt machines. Thanks

In my limited experience they usually are a right angle setup so that you can adjust belt tension by moving the tractor back or forward. Also I think it is easier on the shaft and bearings that way. You need to get a belt pulley unit that is specifically built for your tractor model, as they are all a bit different. I have had good luck on the classified ads on this site when I needed parts.

I know of no universal PTO flat belt pulleys but some manufacturers, notably Ford and Ferguson used PTO driven pulleys for belt work.

It would help to state what make and model of tractor you have.

For what tractor? The Ford Ferguson pulleys are a right angle unit that slides over the pTO and fastens on with 4 bolts. But most of those were made for the small 1 1/8 PTO shaft. There were some other units made. I know IH had that option for the later tractors but belt power was obsolete by then and very few were sold so they are hard to find. If you wanted to be creative and had room the belt pulley for Regular and F20 Farmall fits on a 1 3/8 shaft.

If I can find one that will fit either shaft size I will make it work. They make an adapter to go from the small pto shaft to the big one.

Ford/Ferguson PTO pulleys to fit the older 1 1/8" PTO shaft are not hard to find but the ones for the later 1 3/8" shaft are much less common. I have several of both but shipping usually precludes distance sales.
