Does not seem to be a ful problem does not miss or sputter just shuts off, after a min fires up runs agin ten min then shuts down again any ideas or suggestions thanks so much!!!

Shouldn't use a resistor with the electronic ignition conversion. At least not with the two dozen I have installed.

The only time you might need one is if you don't have the correct coil. I put a Pertronix kit on my 202 and made sure I bought the coil designed to go with the kit, no resistor needed.

Are you sure you got a 12V kit? I'm thinking based on the model of your tractor maybe you got a 6V kit and it's overheating.

When it quits you should check for fire to your sparkplugs asap before anything cools. If there's no fire or weak fire I would replace the resistor. If that doesn't fix it I think I would go back using the points and condenser. Hal

I had a TO35 that did that, turned out there is a filter at the end of the fuel line going into the carb. It was partially clogged.
