Hot pepper mistake LOL

Well I have a bunch of Tabasco peppers in the oven drying but I made a mistake just a bit ago. Pulled the pan out to check to see how they are doing and found some that are nice and dry and crumble up easy. The mistake was to then after putting the pan back in I rubbed my mouth. So I am sitting here and my lips are burning big time. Oh well better then rubbing my eyes.

I did something similar years ago. Had a Farmall Super H I was trying to free the engine on, found a jar to use to pour a little diesel in the cylinders. The jar last had dried peppers in it and without thinking I just blew it out and went on my way. Few minutes went by and my lips were burning, couldn't figure out why for a long time. Wish I could say I'm much smarter now, but I'd probably do the same thing today.

You trying to say fire on the wick ain't good ??---LOL
Gettin back on track a friend brought some locally grown , but I have never heard of.--- looked like cute little pumpkins ---I have no Idea what they could ever be used in to be edible. I can stand a little Hot but these instantly turned you into a human thermometer I could feel as soon as it hit my taste buds and the heat ring moving to the top of my head trying to escape out both hairs I have left, and wax flowed down my shoulders from my ears. Believe me water isn't an option then either-- makes it worse.

Water is a big no no if you bite something that bites back but milk or cheese work well as will most any thing that has an oil in it. Even plain old butter will cut the burn pretty fast

Yes that sounds like it ( what I was told )

What in the world are they used for ?? pepper spray ??

hey old...if you ever run into a purple jalapeno lookin pepper with a white stripe running down the side of it...RUN!
i had my first and last bite of one while on r&r in Thailand...my guts wern't rite for at least a month.

I think both are about the same pepper. I once worked with a lady from Jamaica, when I took her a bag of Haberneros, she called them Scotch Bonnets.. She ate them like candy.

WAY back when, I was about 9-11 (1942-44), I
thought I would pull a"smart guy" stunt. I took some little dried red peppers to school in my shirt pocket, for my "buddies" so they could prove how tough they were. ONLY I was laughing so hard I was crying (opps), I made the mistake of wiping my tears away,(ouch big time). My eye was swelled shut for I think about two or three days. I learned my lesson that time, never try to shame any one again.

God Bless
