I have a Ih 434 and have a tank heater I want to install what are the best locations to make the connections? I see a connection tap on the bottom of the radiator for the cold side, where should I connect the hot side on the engine?

You don't want a tank heater hooked to the radiator bottom. You'll be heating coolant forever, and the radiator will be cooling it via air-exchange. You only want to heat the coolant that is IN the engine. You need to hook to the lowest part of the engine block, and the highest - up around the water-pump thermostat area.

I've assume you've got the British/Indian BD or BC154? Easiest way to tap the bottom is to install a T at the block-drain. On top you hook by the thermostat housing. I've got two BD-154s and one BC-144 hooked that way.
