john deere 60lp

Your 60 cam profile is the same as the 630, so dont waste your time swapping them. How much power do you need?

You would barely find the difference between stock and 125 over on a dyno. Sit down and figure the HP per cu" and the amount of cu" a 125 thou overbore provides.
Get a power-bloc, do some head work and install a Berry's cam.
Then again why is more power than stock required? A factory stock 60 will handle 6500lb on a clay track in 2nd gear.
There are three things to work on first before souping the engine. They are traction, traction and traction.

I will agree that the extra power from the overbore will be hardly measaureable.

You are going to have to have a joke of a sled for a STOCK 60 to pull 2nd gear in 6500. I have seen a 60HP late A (same gearing as the 60) killed dead in its tracks by a good sled and good track at [u:1ac81a8254][b:1ac81a8254]5500lbs.[/b:1ac81a8254][/u:1ac81a8254], in 2nd gear. With a 7 foot long chain, it may hack it though.

Short 13.8X38 tires.

Even on itty bitty 13.6x38 tires a stock 60 will not run 6500 in 2nd gear on a good track with a respectable sled.

The A I was talking about was on uncut 16.9x34's with a 18" high drawbar. Put the little tires on, ADD 1000lbs to get to 6500, take away 33%HP to get to stock, A STOCK 60 isnt going to run 6500 in 2nd gear!
