should i put on my straw on to run corn, can i should i what are the good and bads to doing this?

What model combine? Can you pull the chopper knives out? If not,then leave it off.

Common to retract the knives on the pan and run at the slow speed. With Gleaners, you need a rear curtain and extra walker shields on some models. I normally don"t run it- chop stalks anyway, and residue in center of path is not a problem.
