nh 853 chain baler

is there any place other than new holland to get a airbag for this baler because i dont like the $450 price tag

Are you sure it's an 853 cause that's what I have and mine doesn't have air bags. You can get parts at Shoup or Messick's. Gene

I thought the 853 was the smaller version of the 855 (has airbags). Maybe I'm remembering that wrong. Confusing model numbers since the 852 is the older version of the larger 855.

Anyway, I've seen comments in Implement Alley from people who were able to take their old bags to a over-the-road truck shop and get bags that they were able to cobble. I don't think that they're a standard bag though. If you want the bags to just fit, you probably have to pay the NH premium.
