Bout 8 -10 years ago, wife said "If you get another tractor, I'm getting another dog".
Whelp, kinda think I've only bought 1 tractor in that time BUT think the wife's herd has gone up.

PS: Will have to count horses - ponies later.

Best thing we did when we built - put porch on the side for power washin and peeing and the laundry room is just inside the garage for changin clothes!

PS: Sometimes I sneak in the side door instead of that loud garage door.

Well lets see over 30 tractors on the place. 30 plus cats not that we want them but some one dropped off a female and you know how that goes plus 4 dogs. Then there is how many chickens 5 ducks and 3 geese 2 goats and 3 horses. So who is winning here me my wife or the animals?? But hey I do not have any problems with mice

Funny, seems I'm just getting started.........when we went to pick up my wife's third horse this summer I mentioned that I was already two behind. She asked me what I meant and I told her that if she could have three horses, I needed three tractors. Must have caught her at a weak moment or she remembered all the work I had done in prior weeks building another stall and installing a new trailer wiring harness on the truck to accommodate the horse trailer we were borrowing but she said "OK"..............Now I have to figure out how I can afford another tractor.......if I could stop putting money into the one I have now I'd probably be able to get a real nice one! :?

[b:654c4848f0]kruser[/b:654c4848f0] I think you misspelled the first word; it should have been Dog.

As long as Ms kruser is happy, then that's all that matters.

Those look like some fine dogs.

Since you brought it up, here's the score at our place:
Nancy = 4 horses, 2 dogs, 10 cats; total 16.
James = 14 tractors; total 14.

Looks like I'm due for 2 more tractors!

Ah yes, but I understand that Nancy also uses some of those tractors. There is even some photographic evidence of that.........you might be in line for a few more in my estimation. Now if you ever ride any of her horses it's a whole different calculation.
I have offered to teach my wife how to use the tractor but she says she has no interest. She did learn how to use the lawn tractor this summer so we're getting closer.

Edit: I forgot to mention, she cut the grass for me but mowed through one of my satellite cables........yet another hobby of mine.

Had a shetland pony when I was a kid; also rode my older sister's horse named "Pal" a couple of times.

Have no desire to ride a horse at this stage of the game.

Must admit that Nancy was with me when we bought the tractor mentioned in my other post.

She had mentioned an interest in buying another MT since they are such "handy" little tractors.

I'm very fortunate that she enjoys the old tractors just as much as me.

Speaking of lawn tractors, Nancy got "Sparky" our 51M for the 20th wedding anniversary a couple of years ago.

She uses "Sparky" to mow the lawn, around the shop, and around the corral.

Keep up the good work with your wife.

You guys are lots smarter than me. I traded a swimming pool for a tractor in 1989. Score is tractors=6, swimming pool=1, but tractors are cheaper--right?

Back around the year i was fify years of age, my wife said she was going to have a swimming pool installed. I told her, if she got a pool, i 'd get another motorcycle! Hadn't had a bike since a year after we got married. (1950) She threatened to leave if i got the bike. Didn't leave. She got the pool, and i got the bike.
Here in PA. we have to have a special drivers license.
When i went out to apply for the test, the guy in charge was stunned when he heard how old i was! And, that i had an artificial leg, to boot!
So, i took the motorcycle driving class, used my own bike, and passed it.
Wife decided i was certifiably coo-coo. I wasn't. Pool lasted 7 years, the bike lasted 12.
And, i never went to the "funny farm"!
