Middle/West Tennessee flood of century this spring 15 inches one 12 hr period..Have not had a drop on this farm now in over 38 days , one more dry fall.. Pastures gone and trees begining to die.

Weather is perfect here in western IL. Highs in low 70's and mostly sunny, hasn't rained in several days and none expected for several more. Harvest is moving along fairly smoothly and looks like most farmers will be finishing up soon. Had a chance to ride along with a friend in his JD9500 combine today harvesting corn, best day of my week so far.

Weather is pretty nice, still a little warm, but humidity is low. Days are low 80"s.

Its been pretty dry. Started feeding hay mid-Sept. Got 1 inch of much needed rain Monday.

A few weeks ago we got a decent amount or rain and the grass sure responded to it. Since then it has been dry and the soil is getting dry. We"ve got some fall crops for the farmers market. Never had to irrigate in the fall, but we"re really close to it.

I don"t have enough money for any of my usual fall building/repair projects. In the past it has always rained while I"ve been building something. Perhaps I should dig a few post holes or something to make it look like I"m starting to build something?

No rain in July or August here in western WA, then quite a bit in September, now very nice so far in October. Several days of sunshine with temp in mid '60's, then a day or two of light rain. Pastures are growing just like springtime. I think I'm actually going to finish all my "dirt projects" before getting mudded out!

We haven't had significant rainfall here in SE MN since Sept 23 (21 days). I've been doing some pasture clearing on a clay side-hill this week but it's STILL too muddy there for dozer work. If that doesn't describe the summer we had here, I don't know what does.
