IH 766 with fuel in oil

NIGHTFARMER

My 766 is dumping alot(at least 1gph) of diesel into the crankcase. I assume its coming thru the pump. I changed the shaft seal on the gear pump and it did not help. I had changed the seal on the head about 6 months ago as it was leaking to the outside. Starting now to wonder if there is too much pressure causing all these leaks. Is there any type of pressure regulator or check valve that may be messed up? How would I know if they are? Any advice from someone who knows these Ambac pumps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would say it most likely the lower seal on the head of pump or the o-ring on control sleeve. Head can be pressure tested to see if it holds pressure without disassembling pump but you should refer to specs and procedure in manual to do test.
