john deere rider problem

have a jd sxt38 mower. When I turn on switch to engage blades, motor dies. I changed out the fuel solenoid but to no avail, any tips/ideas?

Does it quit like you just turned it off, or does it stall out like it doesn't have any power?? SOunds like you might have a bad saftey switch somewhere, like it doesn't think you are sitting in the seat or something.

Could be faulty safety switch such as seat switch
