OT I wonder why

I made a post telling of my experemce with Health Care and it got Censored out. Nothing nasty just a true experience with Presciption Insuranse

I don't know. I posted a question last week about 1099 forms on settled credit card balances and it was gone two days later. doorman
 
Health care seems to be a touchy topic. Might be that one of the responses was out of line, too. Not necesarily your post.

What Happens is Someone GOT NASTY and the POOFster ate it ,, Happened to nnalert for Prez. NH poll results .. I simply asked how everyone Felt and would He fire congress ?...... It would be so neat , JUST To Veiw all What the Poof Monster ate ,, ,,,
 
I've bought auto parts for years from a gentleman that starts every post,e-mail,and phone message with his name and the phrase (I'm an American). Recently during a phone conversation I mentioned he hadn't been on one of the forums (not this site) we both frequent in a while. He replied he had been banned for refuseing to eliminate the phrase from his posts. As a result I don't post nor view it either.
 
There is a certain bunch on here that whines about any post that isn't about red tractors w/ round wheels. TimV was going to the site comments and calling my posts spammer while his buddies posted the same.
 
Can sure tell when there is a weather change. Days get shorter and/or nasty weather sure gets the hall monitorsin high gear. Seems to be some new ones popping up also.
Same with trolls, Starting to see your initials more also with you whining that B word whether it's called for or not.

We tend to stand a lot on principal. Something that some (not all) europeans and folks from the lower UK just can't seem to grasp.

I created a thread that was titled "You are the President", in which I asked members to give their plan for United States glory. Well, it lasted one day, had tons of good replies, then got deleted. :roll:
 
After the "OT" forum on here went away the owners of this site have taken a pretty hard line again any thing that could turn political or stir up any real emotions over any thing other than tractor color. They did let the nut job "preacher" run wild here alot longer than most folks would. Other than that they have poofed quiet a bit of topics.

When the OT went away here one of the former regulars here started his own "The New OT" and any one who wants to talk about things that are taboo here are welcome to rant there, it's just not as family friendly or for the thin skinned like this place is.

The title of the forum is "Tractor Talk."

Can any of you truthfully say any of those poofed topics are related to tractors?

This is a private website, and the owner of the site has final say on what is and is not allowable on the site. If he doesn't like the pith, vitriol, and bad blood that's garnered by these types of topics, it's his perogative to remove them.

You guys really should be 100% in support of this. Crying about censorship is a "pinko lefty communist" attitude. Support a good American's right to use his private property as he sees fit!

There is at least one forum I know of where you are free to talk about religion, politics, global issues, and just about anything else that your heart desires, and you will not get "poofed". You might get several opinions on why you are wrong, or why you are correct, but you will NOT get poofed. We even talk about tractors, and that includes the GREEN ones.

Maybe so but it's the members that make up the forum, not the one guy who decided to create it and mod it. Without us this forum would be nothing.

Great post! I used to be a moderator on a petroliana collectibles (old gas station signs, pumps globes) forum. The owner of the sight had some pretty strict rules. NO political posts whatsoever. No profanity. No personal attacks. Some members would complain about censorship and their right to free speech. What they overlooked is they agreed to abide by the user agreement in order to have posting privileges, and the user agreement prohibited certain things. Also, some people don't realize their freedom of speech has limits. You can't say things that infringe on other peoples rights (slander).

I participate on some racing forums. They also prohibit political posts. Some forums allowed it for awhile but it seems many people can't discuss politics without calling people with differing viewpoints stupid.

There are plenty of places to discuss politics. I come to this site for tractor/tool/truck/trailer info.
 
To be honest I was making the point that this forum allowed a pretty diverse amount of opinion compared to some others. Since you asked, yes I am also an American and I took it as an insult that he was not allowed to state the fact. I am not bothered when someone says they are Canadian or Irish or anything else for that matter. But thats my opinion. Enough anyway let's talk tractors awhile.
