One thing good about working for a dealer, you get to drive new tractors. I unloaded a 575 HP Versatile this mourning. It will be tripled and weigh in at about 53,000. Will be pulling a 70ft air seeder.

I didn't realize that Versatile was still around. They're way bigger than anything we'd ever need, so I just see them mentioned now and then but don't know anything about them. Sounds like quite a machine.

Versatile was bought by Ford, then sold with Ford Tractor Operations to Fiat. When Ford New Holland was merged with Case IH, Versatile was one part that was sold off to satisfy the regulators. Beuhler (sp?) Industries in Canada bought the Versatile and Genesis lines from Case/NH, and brought back the Versatile name.

I remember six months or so ago someone visited a Buhler plant in I think north Dakota. They posted a picture that I think showed three different color new FWD tractors lined up fresh out of the plant. I remember one was blue, one red, don't remember third color.

Versatile has since been spun off to a Russian(Belarus) company.
I sold Versatile for many years, they were a good company, with good values.Good people

Buhler still has Versatile listed on their site as their line. The biggest thing I've driven is a NHT9020 around in a yard. I found that pretty cool. Doesn't really compare to a 575 HP tractor though.
