Went out to move the truck today, started right up put it in 2nd gear drove it around the building and parked it. Put the shift lever in park and the light stayed lit at 2nd. Didn't feel right so I gave it a little throttle with the lever all the way up in park and the light for second on and it moved. I shut it off took my foot off the brake and it rolled back down the slight grade. It has a tow/haul switch on the shift lever.
Somebody please tell me it's something simple.

The trucks at work do this. It is the sensor/switch on the side of the tranny. It happens in the winter on our 2500 gassers. When the coal slurry gets packed in around the switch it first loses park. Later you may lose all indication and the tranny goes into limp mode.
