Looking for a small skid steer, found a mustang 911 and a case 1816b and a case 1816c. Havent looked at eather yet and are around the same price, any pefrance?

Know nothing about Cases, but have had a Mustang for 10+ years and have done nothing but change filters and use it in that time. Gets used daily.

Go with the 1816C, it has a 2 cylinder engine, where the 1816B is just a single cylinder (underpowered).

Watch the case's though, the little hydostats don't hold up real well to abuse. Make sure the machine tracks straight when levers are full forward and full back. Also make sure to dig into a rock or dirt pile (or push against a tree for that matter) and make sure you can spin the tires evenly and easily.

If the Mustangs a 90's vintage machine, it's a POS. I rented one once. Severely underpowered! Actually you'd be much better going a to little bit bigger skid steer. Almost all the small 36" and 42" wide machine pail in conparison to the 1000lb. and up rated machines. They're slow, jerky and tip a lot easier. Lot's of decent machines in the 1300lb capacity range though. Dave

Why get such a small skidsteer? The real small ones are pretty much useless. They are just a toy, you can't get any real work done with them. An 1816 Case doesn't have much lift capacity, is real tippy, and lacks power. I've got an 1845C Case. With a 1700 pound rating, its big enough to really get work done.
