I recently acquired my Dads FARMALL A on the right side of motor in front of oil filter base the word SAMPLE is embossed. The serial #217982 indicates 1947 made in Louisville Ky. Any help to what I have would be greatly appreciated. THANKS A LOT

I have one like that on a B thats got the Cs stuff rockshaft and all. Where they came from is a mystery as no one can come up with an answer.

may be one that was pulled off the line, and run thru a in depth inspection to assure quality and specs, they would want to know which block was inspected if there was a later problem to determin how many of them were made with the potential problem, just a guess

yOU are the third one that has been on this forum with one. I cant see the serial # as its behind the coil and the cast code is below the firing order can only see the last to code 3*q. Mine has all the C stuff bell housing code is "T" all the hy controls are like C as they did the batt box and welded the steering post on the top. What are your #s.
