Bill, Is there some kind of fall festival going on in Farmington this weekend or next? How about a scenic drive? Just looking for something to do Sunday afternoon. Thanks! John

Lumpy,
Spoon River Drive this weekend and next - Pretty much throughout Fulton County.
PLUS oldblu mentioned antique tractors at the Knox County Fairgrounds at Knoxville, IL - Gonna have to check it out.

Guys, there are about 25 antique tractors and one steam engine at the fairgrounds in Knoxville, IL. Some corn to run through the husker shreder, a dyno, baker fan and about 15-20 acres of plowing out back. Good food, too. I'll not be there tomorrow till late afternoon, but will be there most of next Sat and Sun. Ask for BIG JIM.
Oh, a tractor pull (fun pull, exhibitors only) both Sun at 2:00

The Spoon River Scenic Drive is this weekend and next. I can honestly say I have lived here my entire life and know very little about it. Its a big deal, lots of people and booths all over fulton county. I'm always knee deep in harvest and just see the traffic! There is a pretty active tractor club at Lewistown and I would expect they have some sort of activities. If you get to farmington stop in downtown right on highway 116 and enjoy a sandwhich at the IOOF Odd Fellows tent. They have a sign and cook right on the sidewalk. Best ribeye, porkchops, and porkburgers anywhere. People tell me there is something for everyone on the scenic drive so maybe you can take you camera and give us a report!

Bill,
Prolly take the camera along Sunday with the wife and kid. Prolly stop outside of Farmington and hit London Mills before deciding to head south or go to Knoxville to see oldblu!

Corn done and on beans?

Jim

Lumpy,
Give me a call on my cell if you go and maybe I can meet another YT friend (309) 264-2406
