Hope you like them - I know I did! More tomorrow.

If you have a World War II Veteran, or know of one, I would highly recommend this trip - awesome.

Kruser: Are you a veteran of WWII?Korea, Viet Nam? We had five flights from the central Iowa area. They think they have gotten all who could or wanted to go. Wish it would have happened years ago. I can't thank you and them enough for SAVING our country. Thank you for your service and sacrifice USAF Ret. gobble

My father in law went recently on the Virginia flight. Quite a moving experience for him.

Nope - Just missed Vietnam as I graduated from high school in 1972. Dad served in WW-II and then got called back to Korea.
Land of Lincoln Honor Flight has 260 WW-II Vets waiting to go - 88 this flight and 3 flights per year. Let me know if you have problems filling flights and will pass along

What is the person on the step ladder doing to the Vietnam statue?

Notice the statue of the soldier with the M-60?
See the belt of ammunition? Points of the bullets are pointing in, towards his neck. Must be a new guy.

Guy at the Vietnam Memorial was cleaning the statues.

Don't know about the shells but looks like you might have them throwing that "big" gun over your shoulder. Very lucky I didn't have to go. You?

Hopefully, in my lifetime, they will HONOR the Veitnam Veterans.
