hydraulics on a WD45 tractor

Shouldn't need neutral, just your foot off the clutch. If you are riding the foot clutch it might be turning the pump too slow to move fast, but what gear the tranny is in has no impact on the hyd pump. Only the foot clutch.

ok,thank you very much, which aint good becase tranny is stuck in 1st gear, and cant operate hydraulics to get it back in the garage.

Hyds on the WD45 are not live so you have to have the clutch pedal up as in your foot off of it for them to work. That is just part of life if you own an Allis tractor

I take it you have to have hydraulics to lift an implement so you can drive it in? And its stuck in first? Should be able to put hand clutch in neutral, let out foot clutch (with other foot on brake to stop forward movement), raise implement, then feather hand clutch to start forward motion.

If that doesn't work, you've got more wrong than just stuck in gear.

Remove the snap ring and pull the shifter lever out of the tranny being VERY careful not to drop the little alignment pins down into the transmission.
Now take a big ol" screwdriver and move the shifter forks so the grooves are all lined up nicely in neutral.
Reinstall the shift lever and carefully shift into whatever gear you need to get the tractor into the garage.
Now, if you want to fix it so it doesn"t do it again, pull the shifter out and build up the tip with weld and grind so that there is a nice fit down in the tranny.
May need to replace those pesky little pins if they are loose as well.
BTDT with both my WD and WD-45.

WD45 has live pto and hydraulics with the hand clutch- it is not INDEPENDENT pto/hyd. If it was, it would continue to run irregardless of clutch use.
