2010 MACKINAC BRIDGE CROSSING

Here are a couple of pictures of the bridge crossing and of the parking lot at the end of the ride. I came from west central wi. just to ride across the bridge and it was worth every thing that it cost to do it. The weather was great and the people were the greatest. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

There were some over 800 tractors on the ride. The tractors are suppose to be able to go at least 10 miles per hour, but I know some of them were slower. Every one is to have a tow rope or chain along so it the tractor in front of you breaks down you can go around and hook on to him and pull him the rest of the way.
 
I drove my 44 JD B in the first crossing three years ago. What a thrill, I keep saying I'm doing it again but haven't got it done yet.
 
Great tractor pictures, looks like a good time. I drove across the bridge recently for the first time and never knew that the 2 center lanes are steel grate. Picts show those lanes good,kind of squirrely to drive on.
 
Great Pictures! My friend drove his J.D.730 across this year. I"m thinking of doing it next year with my Ford NAA. Benn across the "Mighty Mack" several times Very pretty this time of year.
