nice story., It is always nice to hear there are a lot of good people around,. More good stories need to be told , most of the time the news is negative Iwish they would show some positive storys like that one thanks again, Larry

Now how often would that happen in a city? Probably never.......or you'd have had to pay for the cookies.
Great story, sounds like you might be on to something there! We are constantly sharing things back and forth with the neighbors here on our road, pies, cookies and this time of year fresh veggies and preserves like pickled carrots and salsa.
When I was growing up we lived in a pretty remote area, not farming country, more like living in the bush. The neighbors there were the same. My Dad would be out working in the shop on the weekend and so would one of the closest neighbors........we'd hear a faint "coffee time" yelled from David's shop and off my Dad would go. But I'm not convinced it was always coffee they were drinking!

I was mowing with the M down the field and along the road back in July. Stopped for a few minutes to dig a couple stones out so I wouldn't clobber them with the mower. A lady stopped and asked if I was ok. We chatted for a few minutes and I thanked her for checking. Pretty surprised she stopped. But then she wasn't driving a Yuppiemobile either.

Good stories!

I had just finished a CPR class at work, and while driving across town, noticed a man lying face down in a yard. I slammed on the brakes, jumped out and ran over to investigate. Turned out he was a meter reader, and had his arm down in a water meter, trying to clean the lens so he could get a meter reading.

He didn't appreciate my concern.
