wheel bolts

Greetings,

I just snapped two lug bolts off in the hub of my M670. As luck would have it they are adjacent.

What is the best solution?

Is it easiest to drill them out and rethread with bigger bolts?

OR should I just replace with a salvage hub?

I would try drilling them out first. All the hubs I've ever seen on farm equipment were threaded all the way through so if you're lucky it'll spin whats left right through the hub.

Weld a nut on them and bring them right out. Some people weld a flat washer on the broken bolt before welding a nut on .Its a little easier done with a wire feed welder.

If you broke off two, the rest are probably no good, either. Replace 'em all.

Are you sure they thread into the hub? Many lug bolts are press fit.
