Computer Codes on Scan Tool

I have an Actron Scan Tool. I was recently working on a friends Ford F-150 which is OBD 1. The tool said it was always staying in open loop. I put in a new 195 thermostat and a new heated oxygen sensor with no change. He took it to Ford and their tool said it was ok. My scanner has always read oxygen sensor fluctuations on other vehicles. Does anyone have any ideas?

Why not ask the question on a forum where you haven't insulted people? They'd probably be a lot more likely to answer your questions there.

Sorry tom, but the others are right. I have several friends that are Ford mechanics and one is the service manager at a Ford dealer. I would ask them to help you and I'm sure they would even walk you through this, but I won't waste their time.

Now, for one of your answers, perhaps your doctor could do a CAT scan and find out what's wrong with you. Then we could help you with your "friend's" problem.
