Tell me what this mix is used for

Just to see if you guys can figure it out here is a mix I read about last night in a magazine tell me what it is used for. I'll post back later the real answer to this just want to see if any body has ever heard of it before.
Take a small hand full of hot peppers and put them in a blender, pour in Vodka and blend. Store and then use as needed.
Now then can any body tell me what this is used for??
 
Shoot! Anyone could tell you that one... it is what was used in the days before Preparation-H!
.... actually, I would think down gopher holes sounds more realistic. Years ago I heard of mixing water and mustard and pouring the concoction down worm holes to get earthworms for fishing. My dad mixed up a bit and tried it... sure enough, up comes the worm, so he made a huge batch of it... never got another worm!

Used to keep others from drinking your vodka! I had a rancher uncle who used to put chiltepin peppers in his bourbon to keep the hired hands from drinking it while he was in away in town for a few days.
 
Most hot peppers contain Capsaicin. It has a wide variety of medicinal uses, as well as use in cooking. Here's a link that will provide a basic overview of it's uses.

Peppers mixed with vodka can be used in a number of ways, not least of which is the drink mixes I listed earlier in the thread. Vodka can also serve as the "carrier" for capsaicin when used as a topical treatment or as an insect repellent.

No telling just what use it MAY have had listed in a magazine since there are so many possibilities. Personally, I like the hot apple cider myself!
