Anybody know anything about the steiger wildcats? This is a series 2 I believe. Could possibly be had for scrap price. Does run. How hard is it to find parts for them?

Thanks
Adam

I"m not an expert here but I thought Steiger"s were made from standard, off the shelf parts. Nothing should be hard to find.

That's correct- all mechanical components are common brands- Cummins engines (usually), Clark transmissions (I think), etc.

The eastern Washington wheat farmers who used to use crawlers have moved up to the Steigers whose former owners have moved up to the big Deeres and rubber track rigs. Lots of HP for the money.

The series I was a 3150 V8 CAT and the series II was a 3208 V8 CAT both were dry sleeve blocks better known as japanese kittys or throwaways.
