My Motley Crew Pics

Yesterday we cleaned the barns out and a buddy brought home my D17 and realised that my dad and son had lined all the tractors up in a row. Well I said Now that's a Motley Crew if there ever was! So I decided to take a picture or 2 of them all together. And it got me to thinking, I wonder how many other guys out there have done the same thing? So if you have post us a picture of your Motley Crew, I know I'm not the only guy that farms with equipment like this. Bandit

They all look great to me, I just wouldn"t want to keep them full of fuel. I"ve got a friend of mine who"s dad has a tractor for every tool on the farm including the hay rake, biggest problem is keeping the fuel from going flat these days that idea worked when I was a pup because gas seemed to keep it"s kick.

Seems like a pretty nice bunch to me. Is the Long a Fiat? They've been a lot of different things, over the years.

Lots of tractors under the bridge for me, but I remember in 1973, at age 24, I had accumulated 3 tractors, in various states of disrepair. I was determined to have them all ready for haying, with one on each implement, and I did. Lined them up got them all going. Ford 8N on the MF "Dyna-Balnce" mower, McCormick W4 on the AC PTO rake, and JD 420 on the Ford 250 baler.

Just stood back and enjoyed the sound, and wondered what the poor people were doing right then.

Thanks Larry, all good tractors and each one has its job on the farm. The D17 Hi-Clearance is great to bush hog and to rake hay and spot spray with. The Case is for field work, The Long is great for the haybine and is the planting tractor. The Oliver's are catch all tractors. The MF 65 is the mud bug and will go ware ever nothing else will! And the MH 30 is just a good jennen tractor. Only problem with all of them is keeping batteries and fuel in them. Bandit

The Long 900 is actually a Zetor 8011, good tractor and very easy on fuel, made in Poland and Checkosovockia and was made from 1967 to 1986. This one is a 1976 and sold new for $4800 not bad for a 85hp tractor. Bandit

One good thing about lining them all up is that you know they'll start and are drivable.

They all look good to me; only problem is that you can only drive one at a time.

We've added 3 more since this photo was taken a couple of years ago after huricane IKE.

Yeah, I forgot about the Ford 2810; probably one of the most reliable and versitile tractors we've got.

Nice lineup, everybody should have some variety. I have only seen one of those Longs before and it was like yours, they seem like a good tractor.

Nothing wrong with a tractor in its" work clothes.

Looks like three good tractors to me.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Don't tell [b:654c4848f0]glennster[/b:654c4848f0], but we've got our eye on a red tractor in Mt Pleasant, Tx.

My guess its an M.
