Grateful for Green(?)

Well, I've got a Ford 5000 which needs quite a bit of work, including rear tires. It also had a loader on it, which I don't need since I have a better loader tractor available. If I put new tires on it, I'm certainly not going to sell this tractor anytime soon.

A local auctioneer had a consignment auction at his facility yesterday. We have some bills to pay which have stubbornly eluded being paid throughout the summer. So we contacted them about bringing the loader there for the sale.

My son and I got the loader off the tractor (a more interesting job than I had anticipated). Then we did a Krylon paint restoration on it. Hard to say what color it was years ago. The whole time I've owned the tractor the loader was a nice rust red. Couldn't decide on a color. I mean, if it was me, I'd probably go with basic black or some other color easy to touch up. But I'm never going to see this loader again sooooo....

Emerald green.

Stopped by the auctioneers a few hours after the auction to get paid. It sold for $900. Much more than I was really anticipating. He told me that at a lot of auctions he had seen them go for as little as $2-300. I am grateful to the One in control for looking out for us. And it seems I should be somewhat grateful for green paint as well!

those cans of paint gave and good return on your investment If you could buy one more paint it and sellit that would be a better income than farming lol glad you had some good luck it is nice to win once in a while

Heard an auctioneer tell a dealer at the auction in Archbold Ohio one time,"there's no bigger sucker for a paint job than a farmer".
