Room Temperature Vulcanization. A man I used to go to church with, worked at GE and was on the team that developed the stuff. Once asked him what it was made of. He said, mostly air. Joe Weaver was later recognized as the father of the printed circuit board which he applied what a college professor had believed would work, but never tried building one himself. Don't just sit on your ideas like I have always been likely to do. You may change history.

Thanks, never knew what the RTV stood for.

I enjoy reading about odd or unusual things that wind up working great or have great potential.

One such product is aerogel. Best insulation properties of anything. NASA eve uses it.

Blow torch on one side of an inch thick layer and finger on the other side without a burn. Good stuff.

It is finally being made into some usable stuff and no longer just experimental. Still costly.
