The post about cheaper synthetic oil down below made me wonder if you could burn it in a heater once it was used. Does anyone know?

Don't see any reason not too as they make diesel fuel out of soybean oil and other cooking oils.
They used to burn used engine oil in diesel trucks after filtering it.

If your talking about say a shop heater made to burn oil yep you sure can burn it and from what I have been told it burns good and hot to boot but of course you do not want to use it 100% you want to mix it. I know a couple of guys who heat there shops with oil they change out in cars
