Computer Question

When I print something from my computer, It quite often it is to the right side of the page instead of centered, and part of the printing is missing because it is so far to the right. HOW CAN I CENTER IT?? I have Windows Vista. Please don't tell me to get rid of Vista, I'm not as rich as you and can't afford it. and besides it works fine other than this.

When you print something and the printer dialog box comes up, click on properties. There should be another window that opens that has to do with the settings of your printer. There should be a margin setting tab or button. Try changing the margins to something like 0.5 inches or even 0 and see what happens. Also make sure the selected paper size matches the paper you have in the tray.

Vista has/had a lot of problems with some print drivers.... Sometimes using an older driver for your printer would "fix" some printing problems.

Cargogator is correct about web pages. The advice about the printer properties when the print dialog pops up is also correct, There may be something to the effect of "shrink to fit" or some similar option. If this is in something like MS Word or similar run page setup before you print. This will format the page according to your printer specs. Print Preview is also usefull in determining how the printed page should look. It has always amazed me that after 25 years Microsoft cannot get printing to work better. The Mac has always outshined MS in the printing department.
