Rain and more rain

Well some time after 2:30 am it started raining and it hasn't slowed down yet. Oh and by the way it did start before 3:30 I was awake both times LOL. Well any how when I went out to let the birds out I checked the rain gauge and we at that time have had 2.25 inches. We have been needing it and if the guys down south get lucky it will slide there way. Sure glad I didn't grade my driveway the other day because if I had I would be doing it again and I like to do things once and be done with it LOL

We had a little rain here yesterday and overnight- about 3/10". Heard on the radio this AM that we've now had 61 hundredths of an inch since July 4. You think of the Pacific NW as rainy, but in the summer, the only drier place in the US is the desert southwest.

I don't know how much it has rained here this morning, but I think it has been raining all morning. Thanks for sharing some of your rainclouds with us.

Six tenths sure ain't much. Here in LV the weatherman is saying that if we make it another 3 weeks or so we will hit our old record of 150 days without rain. We only get about 4" a year, but still it is a long time to go without.

Record here is 90 days- but it seems the rain just shuts off about July 4, and turns back on sometime in September. Temperature is not usually that severe- usually in the mid 70's for a high, and we'll have 5 or 6 days over 90. Occassionally 100, record is 108 set last year, but previous record was about 101.

Probably about as nice a place to "summer" as anywhere in the country. Winter, "not so much". . .

108 is pretty high up there for anybody. Also know what it is like about the July thing. Rain just goes away for quite a while. It used to monsoon for a few days right around July 4th, but that don't happen anymore.

We still have the problem with the last half of July and first week of August. Those are the official "over 110" days. I don't get outside much then lol. I think we are generally just the opposite about winter and summer.

Might have that beat with Earl on the way. I"m right on the edge, eastern Carteret Co. on the coast of N.C. Looking at several inches of rain and of course high winds. Hoping it stays out to sea but looks like at least a glancing blow!
