Steering wheel

The steering wheel on my Super M is badly weathered and your hands get black when you use it. Is there anything that I could use to coat or paint it with to restore it? Thanks

Buy a new one.lots of scources---around$60 bucks.

Greasy/oily hands seem to make the black come off more than clean hands. Might try some epoxy based enamel - should be cheaper than other remedies.

Cleaned mine with a scotch pad and dish soap then used armorall when it was dry. Kinda slick but you won't be driving it 60 mph.
I started keeping a pair of gloves on the tractor for wet days or greasy hands.

I cleaned, then sprayed automotive paint on mine. Blue's what I had, from the Jeep. Several years later, still in good shape.

Clear lacquer will do it. Might wear off after a few years, but for $3 you can do it again. Just sprau a couple of coats on it.
