Engine misses on 1 and 4

I have a cockshutt 30, that we replaced the engine in. The used engine came without distributor,or manifold. We put my old distributor and manifold on it with new points,condenser,rotor,cap,plugs and wires.It has 127 to 133 lbs compression on all cylinders. I can get it to only hit on cylinders 2 and 3. What am I missing?

Are you sure you have the plug wires in the correct firing on the cap? Hal

Hello,
Qwick check would be to swap the wires.
Are you sure of the firing order, and that the wires are on in the proper sequence.
Also make sure the sequence fallows the rotation
go the distributor.Bad wires or bad cap?

Anothe quick chech is go from one wire to the next with you timing lite that will tell you a lot real quick
