What kinda of plant is this and how do you get rid of it? It laughs at round up brush killer. It likes to climb trees and grows on the groun too.

It looks like Chinese honeysuckle.

The old (pre EPA) brush killer would easily handle it but, like so many other things after the feds have gotten involved, the fed approved stuff will likely require multiple applications.

Dean.

try mixing round up and 2-4d, add a few drops of dish soap. i use a 2 gallon pump sprayer, 8oz roundup, 8oz 2-4d, does a great job on poison ivy. the dish soap gets it to stick to the waxy leaves.

Looks like euonymus to me. It"s a evergreen type vine here in OH. Cut the main vine(s) close to the ground, and when it begins to shoot fresh new growth hit it with roundup. Repeat as necessary, its not the easiest thing to kill. The mature leaves are to waxy to get good results with roundup, the fresh new growth should kill easily.

John from OH is correct. It's Wintercreeper Euonymus. It's going to take repeat applications of Round Up. Cut it back, hit the regrowth. An application in spring as the new growth appears will be the most effective.
