Someone has this for sale on a forum here 4000 hours and looks like it had a decent life. New starter, battery, exhaust, headlights, and wiper motor (all the external wear items) and new inspection. And a real decent price. It's 34 HP compared to my 26 but should be plenty for me. The same style is available in 3 other models with 35, 40, and 45HP. All have the same motor and trans though. Gonna quit opening ads.......

Why do European tractors have front fenders? Do they travel at higher speeds or over much more sloppy ground? Is it a requirement for road use?

These models go between 12 and 18 mph but some others can do about 35. Fenders may be required on the faster ones but are just nice to have. Especially if you have a sickle mower mounted on the side.

was alway fraid if a tractor, truck ,car had a diesel engine and the ad said new bat. new starter, if that was cause they were haveing trouble starting it.

I have noticed those wind screens for that style cab.

Looks like when in open position they are touching the exhaust, but I haven't seen any burnt from that stack.

Yea - but that would kinda be the cure for the problem most of the time too? :)
