Boy made it to Gulfport

Well right at 1 am this morning the boy texted his mom that he was back home. That put him on the road for right at 15 hours straight so I figure that makes it about 750 miles from the Lake of the Ozarks to Gulfport Mississippi

Glad he made it ok. Thanks for his service to the country. Braver guy than I am to ride that distance at night with all the deere there are now.

Good to hear that he made it safe. That was a long day, I checked the weather and about the time he came through here it was 101. I bet he was baked. Tell him to keep my number for the next trip.

He has already been told to hold on to your number so if he has trouble in your area or just wants/needs to take a brake he has a place to at least stop in and take a load off. Thanks again

Glade the boy made the trip safe. I know that is A long ways, none stop. (other than fuel or pit stop)
Again where did he start? Where is Lake of Ozarks?

Hammer Man from TX.

Lake of the Ozarks on the map is the junction of hwy 5 and hwy 54. It sits about middle ways between Jeff city and Springfield MO. Probably around 750 miles or so from here to Gulfport

Glad he made it safely Rich! I know as a parent this won"t make you feel better but two or three of my older brother-in-laws during the Korean war hitch hiked halfway across the US for leave. I don"t think I"d try that this day and age but it does make the bike idea look safer. God Bless him!

Glad to hear he made it without incident. Now he has another fond memory to talk about when he's your age. When I was in the Navy I drove a 25y/o truck from Virginia to Michigan; don't think I'd attempt that today but didn't have any concerns at the time.

Very glad to hear he made it.Saw something on TV about the Gulf and wondered about your motorcycle rider. We all had confidence he has his Papa's resourcefulness. Won't ask if you stayed up until he texted back home. Hope the duration of his service is uneventful , especially for his Mother and you. What greater service to your country than going to war for her ? Seeing your child to do likewise perhaps.

Good to hear he made it safe and sound. I remember way back when I was younger and would pick up and drive hundreds of miles just to see my folks for just overnight and then back the next afternoon. Then I got married and soon travelling got a whole lot more complicated! Hope you all enjoyed visiting with each other.
