trying to sell but dont know what I got. HELP! please!!!

I have an old massey-ferguson 35 diesel deluxe tractor, and I know nothing about it, with the exception that it will run with a litlle TLC. Thats what the guy I bought it from told me. Please help me, if you know the year, or way to find the year, and any other interesting facts about it. Thank you very much. 7756907223 BILLY

Your 35 looks like a Special rather than a Delux. Does it have live PTO and ground speed PTO?

It also appears to have the notoriously hard starting (when cold) Standard Motors 4 cylinder diesel engine.

pretty tricky, "will run with a little tlc" in the tractor world stands for Turn over Lots of Cash, kind of like old cars with "running when parked" taged on them, what they done say is when they were parked, it was 1965 and nobody has been around it since, if it were me, id squander a few bucks on a service manuel right here on this site, and see if you can in fact get it running and operating thus increasing its value who knows while you playing with it the old tractor bug may bite you and you'll keep it yourself along with several more you come across lol
 
Look for a serial number plate on the dash. It's a mid to late 50's with the 4 cylinder diesel. The Standard Motors diesel is a notorious hard starter and the least desirable engine in a 35 but if the tractor runs should be worth at least $1000 and probably more. The rear tires look pretty new and are probably worth 5 or $600. If you can get it running decent and everything else works, you might get $2000+ for it. Dave
