Nephew was driving my Sis and entourage back from INDY State Fair yesterday , 25 miles from home ran thruogh a THUNDER boomer,, and the car hood got struck by lighning , blinding them momentarily and s-SHOCKING them a terrific jolt ..luckily no one has lasting effects other than x-ray-vision and telepathic communication and math skills and excellant memory recall ..LOL... Because of the STORM intensity everyone had reduced their speed to 40mph and he was in the slow lane when STRUCK he was able to coast to a SAFE Stop on the shoulder,,. they had to pickupthe car because it would not RE start, but the radio and electric trunk unlatch still work ,, they got a fella checking over everthing as i type .. I recall a Lightining Strike as a little fella standing on the front porch with my big sisters watching my dad race in during t-Storm , Case SC with combine in tow ,as He rounded the corner to the barn in hi gear he had to pass under a giant Burr Oak Tree... ZAP !!! .. ,,HE Got that rigg parked under the leanto and came darting to the house telling my Mom he Just GOT One HALE of a Jolt,,.after supper We all wernt out to do chores and properly park the combine... as I recall THE Combine clean grain Elevator was split at seam and the HITCH PIN HAD SPOT WELDED ITSELF TO THE DRAWBAR...
