Just Watched a Tractor Ride at my Parents' House

Hello all,

Down in IL visiting the family, and this morning I went out the door to get in the car and heard something from down on the road. Looked and saw a steady stream of old tractors going by. Jumped in the car and went down the 1/4 mile driveway to watch. Stood by the car and waved at just about every person. Saw a really nice black stripe 966 with ROPS and a big ole 5020 JD. Way too many nice tractors to list here. They were riding from Sublette, IL to Oregon, IL I guess. Oh, saw a local MM guy I used to know and he asked how I was as he motored by. Also, another driver said he'd trade his tractor for the horses at the end of the driveway. Being they were the neighbor's horses I gladly yelled ok and shot him a thumb's up. Pretty neat to watch a hundred or more antique tractors cruise on by.

Headed back to Minnesota tomorrow morning, been here since sunday. Hoping to stop and pick up a couple parts for my Case Model C in Wisconsin and visit Dave from MN, too. Gotta call him. Anyway, hope all is well!
 
Any "ugly-old" guys on a red tractor? Mighta got a glimpse of the renowned glennster!

Sorry glennster: just couldn't think of any other words on how to describe ya. (note to self - prolly going to pay for this one)
 
Ya might want to call Dave before you stop in , he may need some parts for that 1206 !!
 
hey now,,,hey now,,,,,i resemble that remark!!!! i was out uglying today bush hogging on the 240u and then ditch mowing on the farmall cub till about 2:30. then it was just plain too dang hot!!! haven heard from ou in a while in to deep...hows married life treating ya??

hey kruser..i'm down under 200lbs..so the duals aint squatting any more!!!
 
Which reminds me, I've got a rebuilt never-installed injector pump for a 1206 in my back pocket...course I left those pants at home darn the luck.
 
was gonna go to the sale, but disnt want to get momma on the warpath buying another tractor right now. bewn looking at skidsteers, and have a line on a couple different machines.
