I try to avoid buying chinese products. So, I bought a starter from India and it turned it to be made in CHINA. I am going to use it on an Oliver 1850D. Has anybody used them and what is a good price to pay for them? It is rated at 2.8Kw

About a year ago I needed a new starter for a Long tractor and found a Irska starter for it. It was listed to be a High tork starter the a Cat and a whole list of MF JD Oliver White Bobcat Melrow IH and others. I think it was $230 and well worth it. The starter for the Long was $975 so I took a chance, and it work great. I have one 1000 cca 12v battery and cranks a 285 cu in 4 cyl diesel over right now! I would rather had an American starter for it, but this day and age you take what you can get. Bandit
